MISSION STATEMENT: WMBH.org / the Wisconsin Museum of Broadcast History

The Wisconsin Museum of Broadcast History, otherwise known as WMBH.org, was started 3/13/06 to preserve and share Wisconsin’s broadcast history by way of an entertaining and informative on-line museum.

Exhibits include sound, video, pictures and print material supported by text. The Museum will look "25 years and back" and will focus initially on Milwaukee with Madison and the Fox Cities to follow. Exhibits will include radio & TV people,  programs,  stations and technology, focusing initially on radio.

WMBH.org was formed by a small group of broadcast fans and professionals with a common interest in preserving and sharing Wisconsin's Broadcast history. WMBH.org is non-profit, self-funded and staffed on a volunteer basis. WMBH.org works-with and supports other on-line broadcast museums as well as private collectors.

CALL FOR HELP

To reach it's potential, WMBH.org needs your help.

We are actively seeking content  for the Museum. By content, we mean print & publicity material, audio & video tapes and films - anything that can demonstrate broadcasting as it was heard &/or seen 25 years and back.

The Museum accepts both 'media-on-lo3an' and media donations.
Media-on-loan means your material is loaned to WMBH.org for digitization and we return the material to you with a CD or DVD copy as a thank you.

The Museum also acknowledges and would like to work with the 'collector community' on a quid quo pro basis.

Whether you've worked in the business or are a fan of broadcasting, please help us tell the story!!
